Eureka Tool Steel Welding Products, Ltd.
Our
original entry in the tool steel forum, was incorporated in 1965 to
distribute, in Canada, a line of specialty welding electrodes
manufactured by Welding Equipment and Supply Inc. of Detroit,
Michigan. The Canadian
company developed a comprehensive line of flux cored welding wires
manufactured by us to very precise chemistry for the welding of tool
steels and a line of buildup and hard-facing welding consumables.
In
1968 the company established a service welding facility to
demonstrate the viability of advocated repairs to the steel,
automotive, mineral and other heavy industries.
The company has developed its own welding feeders, guns,
furnaces etc. to work to very exacting standards in the harsh
environments of these industries with minimum breakdowns, This
facility also provides an excellent 'in house' test base for new
products and procedures. It
also gives our company a real feel for change within the industry.
Tempering
of weldments up to 15 ft can be done in our custom built stress
relieving furnaces. We
also build custom furnaces for others.
Eureka Grinding Industries Ltd.
Created
in the late seventies to fill a growing need for a large capacity
surface grinding facility. Tolerances of +/-,001" over l8ft can be attained.
Eureka Wearmax Plate Div.
The
manufacture of Wearmax Plate,
a quality chrome-carbide wear plate, began in January 1991, We
have had exhaustive testing done by a well -recognized materials
evaluation facility supporting the idea that our plate is unique and
a superior product to others available, Our product has demonstrated
the ability to outlast traditional wear components by a factor of 8
to 10 times current expectation without the same ratio increase
in cost. We
distribute to customers throughout North America and Pacific Rim
countries.
Management
of all the companies is under the direction of Al Novak. Mr. Novak
has spent over 25 years developing welding products and processes.
All
members of this management team have an established track record
with our company and have made Eureka Canada a very successful
operation. Our direct
labour force is equally committed to our ideals of service and
value.
Our
corporate philosophy has always been to respond to customer
requirements with service and products which offer high 'value to
cost' ratio. While
current economic conditions are not supportive of industry in
general, this group of companies has been prospering and has even
been able to expand its operations.
